Country Life Frontispiece - A Relic

Yesterday I mentioned my fifteen minutes of fame - actually I've had more than my fair share beginning fairly early in life. However in the UK this was the pinnacle....'twas a long time ago... but yes there I was just before I married. I was the second 'girl' in colour (big editorial shift from black and white)...and of course I haven't changed at all....

Nope, not changed a bit.
How fantastic is that!
And yes, I remember the headbands and pie crust collars only too well.
Definitely something to be proud of.

Wow! I (sort of) know someone who's been on the front cover of Country LIfe. Forget the Booker prize, the Orange Prize, any other kind of prize. I feel I've finally arrived!

Nina - still have the headband somewhere which is truly frightening :-)

Frances -not sure it's a wow but it was fun at the time...now the front cover might really be something :-)

What a beautiful picture and how lovely to have been on the cover of Country Life.
