My Garden in a Vase

When I left Cornwall earlier this week my garden was just getting into its stride. June is its month. I hated to leave and I was sad that DH wouldn't see it in its glory so I took ten minutes and cut a bloom or two from each rose. Thought I share it with you. I just wish I could share the scent as well.

Are those David Austen old-fashioned roses I see?

Lovely picture.

Only two of them are - the big red one is David Lathwaite (spelling?) and the white is Winchester cathedral. Well spotted :-)

What a beautiful bunch of flowers.
I currently live in a city centre flat and I am desperate to move to the suburbs or country side, so i can have a little gardern and grow beautiful flowers and plants like your roses

Oh Jenny, it's tough when you long for a garden and it just can't happen. I did throw myself into serious window boxes when in the same position as you.

Absolutely glorious. The wind is so salty and strong here that only the toughest plants survive.
