Done - well for now!

In the midst of chaos I finished with A Cornish House as far as I can go - for now. Tomorrow I print and send. Fortunately it is not going to agent or editor but to eyes who will accept that it's not perfect - yet. However it has grown well.

In the next three weeks I have to pack two boys for school (which includes sewing in labels), build seven flat pack Ikea boxes, paint a room, clean the house, ready two boats and kyak for storage, and have a family to stay :-)

When I get back to Dubai I will await the word on ACH and prepare....I have two open doors - one agent and one editor who said no to August Rock but wanted to see ACH.

I'm so ready to start the next book too! Where are you at the moment?

Ah, yes; I remember sewing in all those labels. I was cleaning out my sewing baskets the other day and one fell out. I got a good chuckle from it.

Hi Liz, Just a bit to do then in your life!!!! Good to hear how far you have come. I'm about to read Novel 1 and I have a strong feeling I'll be putting it into cold storage and moving on with N2

Good luck with all your chores!!!!

Hi Liz, I'm back in Bangkok already; bought the school uniform today, kids back to school on Wednesday. I'm still writing novel number 2 (before no 1.)

Good luck with all your chores.

Yay for finishing! :pops some e-champagne:

Sounds like you've got a lot ahead. I'm not nearly so busy, but school starts today and we've got a busy year planned at SHS (Sanderson Home School ). Great news that you have some interest in ACH. I'm still in limbo waiting on feedback from two partials and a full. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and me both. =o)

Yes, I remember sewing nametapes in the carpark on the way to the boys' school. It's clear you are much more organised.

well, thankfully I'm not sewing in name labels, what a hateful job that is.

Well done for finishing and good luck with it.

Thanks, Lane!

Hey, Steve, it's the joys of being a mother and a writer :-)

c.s. - I found my husband's old labels in the sewing basket I inherited from his mum and we still have a few old towel lurking around!

Novice, I learned so much on this last book that I know I could back to AR and improve it but for the moment I need to move forward to the next book and then maybe rethink AR. Good luck with book 2 :-)

JJ, I haven't even thought about the dd and being back in Dubai. She has grown so much this summer I know the old uniform won't fit!!! More labels!

Fingers crossed for you BE!

Yes, Biddy, we know your were off partying in San Fran.....I'll take that drink eitherin SEptemember or Novemember when I'm back. Now get to work girl!

Susie, I may sound organized but I live in chaos I assure you!

Thanks Debs and Chrish :-)

Sadly it isn't the partying that has been stopping me. I have had to move out of my flat while the builders are in and now I have to move again. I am finding it very difficult.

Excellent! Hooray! You must feel good that it's off, now, after all your hard work.

Me, I'm nearly halfway done writing this current book's first draft, and it's so first-drafty I've got the twitches. I'm going to have to change everything before the 30K words mark. But I'm forcing myself onwards without doing any revisions, because they'll be stronger if I go back at the end.

Good luck with all your chores!

Good luck! I'm busy with the labels thing too - sigh. I'm so crap at doing stuff like that.
